Orthman is a true American institution. Founded in Nebraska by one man with a vision, Orthman is built on hard work, innovative design, meticulous attention to detail and a passion to lead the world in modern production.
Since the 1960s, Orthman has brought innovation after innovation. Orthman perfected and patented an internal folding toolbar in the 1970s, then used its expertise in toolbar design to invent the stack-fold toolbar in the 1990s that allowed planter boxes to remain upright during transport. Orthman’s pioneering work with cultivators opened the way to the company’s biggest triumph to date: the remarkable 1tRIPr strip-tillage system in 2001. Today Orthman is doing business in 14 countries worldwide and regarded as the world leader in precision strip-till machinery.
Orthman continues to grow, with recent completion of a 2nd 115,000-square-foot manufacturing facility near our hometown of Lexington, Neb. Also a new facility in Johannesburg, South Africa. The new facilities will substantially increase our capacity to meet the continually rising demand for our products.
Orthman has extended its manufacturing expertise to include Orthman Conveying to design and manufacture custom material-handling and conveying equipment, with offices in Columbia, MO as well as Fort Worth, TX. and Orthman Logistics to oversee delivery of Orthman's wide variety of products in addition to providing logistics support for other flatbed and container loads.
Regardless of the industry or application, there’s one thing that’s going to be true no matter what: If it’s an Orthman,
it’s going to be A Tough Act To Follow.
